A comparison of Quentin Tarantino's film-strip and Anthony Russo's all digital movies.

RESEARCH DESCRITPTION

The research I am conducting involves examining the differences in production cost and success of movies shot completely on film compared to those shot all on digital camera technology, specifically in two popular filmmakers: Quentin Tarantino on film and Anthony Russo on digital.

Tarantino shoots only on film with use of VFX, while Russo shoots on digital with great use of VFX, created digitally. My research aims to examine how the frequency of VFX in each type of medium effects the cost and success of the film, ultimatley to conclude the ongoing debate: is film or digital better to film with?

How does visual effects in Quentin Tarantino’s movies shot on film compare to Anthony Russo’s digital VFX, and which method of movie-making is more expensive?
